Ingredients
  

  • 330 g bread flour
  • 13 g sugar
  • 11 g baking powder
  • 8 g garlic powder
  • 3 g salt
  • 115 g butter melted
  • 240 ml buttermilk
  • 80 g mature cheddar grated

Topping

  • 45 g butter melted
  • 2 g garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients.
  • Add the buttermilk and butter to the bowl, then stir together until the dry ingredients are just moist. Gently fold in the cheese.
  • On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough 3-4 times until it comes together, then roll out to a 3cm thick rectangle. Cut in to rounds with a 6.5cm cookie cutter until all the dough is used.
  • Put the rounds on to a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake at 230℃ oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Mix the topping ingredients together, then brush the tops of the biscuits as soon as they are out of the oven.
